I know about all the hype over the motorola v710, but then there is the nokia 6255i which has everything the 710 has pplus infared and multimedia streaming. Would you wait for the nokia to come out or buy the 710?

Hmm... I very much looking forward to that Nokia as well. Unfortunately (or fortunately - depending on how you look at it), that phone won't see the light of day until the end of the 1st quarter 2005 (feb-mar) maybe later. I'm a loyal Moto customer, so I'd no doubt go with the v710. Then once my 10 months is up-- it'll be time to upgrade to the Nokia 6255i.

I am by no means an expert but I'm glad to share what I know and what I've experienced.

About the situation earlier... my comments about "Yahoo Chat" were made jokingly. No saying we can't have a little "fun" on the board sometimes.

glad you think that. and when i do post info-- it's for people like you... not the speculators (which there are only very few of but take up a lot of space around here).

nope. transflash is a whole different creature from SD (if that's what you use on your mp3 player). though, they will sell SD adapters for TFlash cards.

Wow. This forum has gotten pretty tender in the last 48 hours or so... I think that I'll spend the next few days rescuing puppies or something. Might make the wait until Thursday the 15th go faster...

basically, the ability to stream audio and video. that's the future of mobile web, instead of reading text based news coverage-- you'll watch streaming video and audio feeds of the news, sports, weather, etc. Similar to what Sprint PCS offers with RealNetworks. you'll most likely see that on the Sprint PCS variant as opposed to the VZW one.
