Been lurking both HoFo and here for almost 3 months now, and I really was beginning to believe that the time was near until I just read the well respected "VZW Employee" post the following on HoFo:

I found a nice little document today with some 710 info... it said "Motorola V710 has been placed on hold as of 7/7/04 waiting for launch" Im not really sure what this means besides that it has been put on hold. I also found another document indicating numerous software issues with the 710.

What are you worried about? on hold doesn't mean anything. On hold could be any length of time cold have been a day. by the time that was typed up the problems could have been fixed. thats whats so great. only 3 to 5 years ago if there was a problem a phone would be canned or take a long time to be fixed. Now it can be fixed software. More and more hardware is being taken over by software. most things can be fixed real quick.

Its a Motorola. Motorola's are known for having software or bug issues. Remember the T720..LOl

I've got a T730 and it's working flawlessly with the exception that the display is a slow.
I understand people's emotions towards the T720 given what they paid for it, but hasn't the quality of the T730 demonstrated that things have changed a bit as far as Motorola/Verizon releasing phones?
