VZW Call Today...
I called VZW today asking about the v710. The rep told me the phone was supposed to be available in April and, after placing me on hold, she said she cannot give me a release date.
I'm guessing the last part of the answer is because so many people are calling in about it (partly), and there are probably some testing or vendor fulfillment issues to be resolved as of yet.

So, if that's true, that lends new light to a lot of the misinformation spreading around here like venereal disease.
Ultimately, the phone will be out when it's out. Probably not too long, since the v810 and others are slated for release.

I walked in to a VZW store in Griffith Park, Los Angeles yesterday asking about the v710 and they said it will be out by October, that it is coming soon, and that lots of people are asking about it.
I know from reading the posts on this site that VZW reps are not well-informed but I just had to see for myself. Anxiously waiting until tomorrow 😁 ...

I was told point blank and in no uncertain terms, "4th Quarter" by more than one rep.
I am fully aware that those folks aren't exactly the most reliable source of information. However, I find it difficult to believe their response would have been so emphatic and unwavering if they were expecting the v710 anytime in the near future.
Conversely, I find it very EASY to believe that, regardless of when Motorola actually ships these phones to carriers in quantity, Verizon will be just about the last on board.
VZW is simply Mega-Monolithic.........the big kid on the block who does as he pleases, no matter how many other kids he pisses off. When you think about it, the rest sort of falls into place.
