Motorola V710
V710 Not Listed on VZW Phone Matrix 7/12 through 8/12
I work for Verizon wireless. First of let me just say that I was waiting for the V710 too. I really really want this phone. Now I know I will be attacked for some strange reason, by everyone who thinks it's coming out any day now, but we just recieved our handset pricing matrix for July 12 thru august 12 and it does not list the V710. When a phone is coming out during the term of the pricing matrix it always lists the phone. The new matrix even lists the new VZW Treo, but it isn't out yet. If anyone who works for VZW can back me up on this, please do. I posted about a week ago to let you all know that the 710 was on hold indefinitely and had failed testing and a bunch of freaks lashed out at me because they have a strange obssession w...

I can promise you there is no b.s. in the pricing matrix . Verizon isn't any fun. It would take to much of a sense of humor to surprise people like that.

I work in ICS at VZW and I can't think of a time when a phone that was coming out wasn't listed on the handset matrix. I've been told that it failed testing too. we don't even have
a dummy in the store. We do have the Treo dummy and it's coming out on July 19th.

I'm a VZW employee and the hadset matrix can change withing a time period such as a change accuring after July 12th. I'm not saying the 710 will come out in this period but the matrix only will show current phones available through certain chains. A phone only shows up on the matrix the day the phone goes on sale, so if the 710 went on sale for example on July 20th (I'm not at all saying it will becuase I have no idea when it will), the phone would show up the matrix on July 20th.
