a discouraging day for eager v710 buyers....any legitimate info. on how the v710 failed testing from Verizon insiders?? I know most of these threads are just speculation, but if the phone failed testing that could potentially be a huge setback...i can't even find this phone to purchase unlocked which only proves to me that something screwy is going on here...like most of you, i assumed the delay was due to Verizon, because we all know they are pushing all of their other phones by offering great deals right now...but if the v710 failed testing, then motorola is at fault and who knows how long we're gonna have to wait now?! 😕

my main concern is that obviously motorola was not planning on failing any Verizon tests, but there is a huge demand for the phone and few other possibilities for why the release is taking so long...Verizon is rigorous with their testing, so it does not seem so illogicial that the v710 could have possibly failed...i am also going on other info. from this forum from people who claim to work for verizon and who dropped this bad news earlier...

I would take anything you hear on this (and other) forums regarding the V710 with somewhere between a grain and a truckload of salt. If the phone was not looking like a definite go Motorola would not buy all of that advertising. Why waste all of that mo...

Don't believe me, go to your local newsstand and take a look for yourself. That is my point. The fact that the advertising is there is verified, confirmed, and iron clad. Common sense would lead one to believe that if the phone has failed testing they would not be pissing all that money away on ads for a canceled product. This does not seem like a phenomenal stretch to me. I believe it is the most definitive information one can go on right now because it just makes sense. Motorola is in the business of selling cell phones. They have been doing it for a long tim...

Too bad you can't ignore people on this board. This guy's a prick who likes to try to impress everyone with his martini's and his little Metrosexual comments.

My comments are metrosexual? Do you even know what metrosexual means? I didn't think so. By the way, you CAN ignore people on this board. It's called not reading their posts. Try it some time (notice that each post is clearly labeled with the name of the author). Have a nice day.
