Gave up on the 710 and went to upgrade my plan and get the 7000.... he told me these EXACT WORDS "well ur gunna have to come back thursday afternoon around 2 or 3 when we get the new shipment and you might get the phone you've been asking me about for so long" and smiled.... could mean i could have a 7000 thursday or friday

I think he meant to say he could have a new 710 on Thursday or Friday.

I think that may have been because the sales rep wasn't allowed to really give that information, so did so in a roundabout manner.

Yeah, but his subject was "true story.... dont get ur hopes up âšī¸" on a V710 board, thus the confusion no matter what way you take it considering the 7000 has been out over a week and why would he say "don't get your hopes up" to the v71...

as having thr 7000 for 1 week, have to say is a very good phone, but am still returning for 710, which will be out in 2 or 3 weeeks

I work for VZW in the midwest area. As a sales rep, we do not have any real info on the release date of this phone. I am not sure of all the talk of this phone failing testing, but that does not mean it's not true. The last contact I have had with a Motorla rep was late May, he said the phone was due out "sometime in June". Thier optomistic guesses typicly are 1 or 2 months shy of actual release dates, based on prevois Motorola phones. I got a chance (although very breif) to play with this phone as well as a V810. Both the phones have a T730 "feel" to them when you hold them, but did not seem to have the creaks& groans (if you have a T720/730, you know what i mean) of older Motorola phones. The reason the guy told you that is that if your contract is not a paid renewal. Which means it isn't expired, you make him no money. So you are wasting his time( in his mind) None of us have any special knowledge of when it is coming out...but a few of us have been told that it is seriously delayed. So anyways..some VZW reps will say anything to get you to come back some other time (maybe when they aren't as busy and aren't at risk of losing "new" deals by helping you upgrade or maybe someone else will be stuck with youhint: he may be off Thurs. & Friday).
