Motorola phones

phonezzzz

Ok, Hope this makes sense. This question is about phone book entries. I have a nextel i730 and want to switch to verizon...and of course get the v710.

If I store the name Jenny as: 310-555-5555 and dial her number as 555-1212 just the number shows up why not her name?

When Jenny calls her name shows up because it is stored in the phone book.

Other phones I have had(not motorola) recognizes it and shows the name when I just dial the 7 digit number.

Does this make sense and is it motorola or i730 specific?

Thanks

Sounds like a i730 issue to me. Even my crappy T720 will get recognize that i'm dialing the same number, even though I stored a 10 digit number.
