How about we arrange so that no one shows up to buy the phone? teach moto a lesson for stringing people along. In the future, they may be more responsible with advertising a product not ready to be released. I know this wont happen.. but it would be entertaining nonetheless.

Whoa this place slowed down....My local VZW store isn't open yet, so i haven't been able to check to see if it's out or not.

Has everyone either run to a store, or did the whole board collectively slit its wrists if you already found out if the phone wasn't released?

i went to put my 2 7000s on hold this morning cuz my store's shipment isnt getting in until 2 or 3 they said and i asked the lady in inventory and she said that the 710 was supposed to be in at the end of june but it didnt and she hasnt heard anything about it since... so i dunno if its coming out today guys 😕

the stores are not going to get only 20 of them..if the phones are ready to be shipped then they will ship each store the quantities it needs...

Look you all...the V710 is not coming out anytime soon! I am a sales rep fpr VZW and I know you all don't think the sales reps know anything, but I do. We don't have a single accessory in the store for it (and we always get accessories a few weeks in advance) . We don't have a dummy model (again which we get a few weeks in advance). We have no collaterral for the phone. We have recieved no word on it being released. It is not listed on our handset matrix for July 12th through Aug. 12th (A phone that is coming out between those dates would be listed on the matrix. They don't surprise us. VZW is not that exciting) It doesn't show on our company intranet Infomanager(they are always listed there in advance ex. the VX7000 was). Plus we'...

Just cuz your store didnt get shipments doesnt mean that every other store in the U.S. won't have them for a while. Cuz I emailed Moto and they said it is still scheduled for a July release.

hahahhahaha.. yes because my store hasn't recieved them does mean that no one else does. Verizon policy is that prices and equipment(release dates too!) are the same nation wide! You can keep checking for it at your local VZW store and you'll keep on being dissapointed.

This is not true. I know for a fact that the LG VX7000 was available in stores here in Cleveland on June 25th while most other markets did not begin to sell VX7000's until July 1st.

It is true. You probably saw it available at an indirect dealer. As the phones were shipped around that time but they were not supposed to be sold until July 1st. call VZW if you don't believe me.

It was a Verizon retail store in Independence, OH. They are an official corporate store and also a regional Verizon repair center.

Both of you are correct. The phone was not supposed to be sold until July 1st in all markets. Some stores sold the phone according to the original release date since the shipment came in that week, but that was not supposed to happen in fact those stores were to keep the phones in the backroom that the 1st some stores just jumped the gun.
