Just Called Local Verizon Store
I was told that they had received the phones couple of weeks ago but had to send them back because of software issue as you know. Now the tentative released date is not fixed cause they dont have any phones in hand they said that usually before a phone is released they get the phones like 2 to 3 weeks prior and they havent gotten anything yet. So the phone might be released according to them sometime early August to End and if its not released then, then you should see it on shelves by November because thats when the VX8000 is schedule to be released with the New Sony Ericsson Push to Talk Phone. So lets all hope it will be this August and not in November.

sanjay, you need to read more carefully. The s710a is a GSM / EDGE phone (i.e. Enhanced Data for Global Evolution) not CDMA / EV-DO which means it won't be for Verizon. It will most likely be fore Cingular/AT&T and T-Mobile.
