Ya know what?? Screw itap!!
I just realized something. The V710 will still use itap for txt messaging. Don't know why I didn't realize this before. I'm an idiot. That really sux. I wanted to get this phone but even if it does come out, I can't part ways with my T9 input. itap is a pain.

I use iTap all the time on my V60i. Its not perfect but it saves me a lot of time. What makes T9 so much better?

I use the older verison of iTap, but I hear iTap 6 is really easy to use. I haven't really found a big difference between T9 and iTap. It takes about the same amount of time either way.

iTap is a wonderful thing, I dont know what I would do without it, it makes txt msging faster! I love it, at first I had no idea how to use it, I could'nt understand it, but once I started playing with it I realized it set up in French, and because of this it would predict anything i was trying to type, but once I figured it out, I use it all the time, I would never go back to Tap.
Oh by the way, is this feature found only on Motorola phones only? just out of curiosity!

I've won many a text-off with my Vx6000 and it's handy dandy T9 input. Motorola itap users don't stand a chance son!!

quite frankly ive used T9(on my samsung a610) and Itap (V60i) i like itap its much more versatile when it comes to words that are not in its dictionary. where a T9 you have to go back in to tha menu and change the input type.

Hit the "0" key when it spells a different word and it will scroll through all available options everytime you hit it. I've used both and to this point t9 is much quicker.
