Broncosrh, you used the 710 yet?
I know one of the people who is on the user friendly trial but I have yet to see it yet. Any info on the upgraded iTap? t9 blows it out of the water up to now.

🙂 Yes I have... only for 20-30 minutes at a time. I was going to actually have (SWEET) one of them for testing but it shut down while taking a picture (more reason why we're not releasing it today) and will not turn back on. I like the look. The sound is great, and the reception is as good if not better than my trusty 4400. The camera on the test doesn't seem much better than the 6000 (it's not the full 1.2 meg) and the video is only 15 MAYBE 20 seconds but looks pretty solid. Thats why I made an earlier reference to waiting on this phone on its "possibilities" rather than test "realities". Haven't sent a text but one of the girls who has it says texting is much easier. Thanks for the info! I should see the person who has the trial one tomorrow to give it a go for myself for a few. I heard from her that she had missed a few calls and it was a little quirky, but as others have said, there are flash updates that hopefully will fix those issues. I have a feeling that this person might not have some of the settings right either. I have had some issues with the 120's, c343's and the 720's were a complete piece of crap.If I can load my mp3's on this bad boy and they can get it working close to the way the v60's work, I'll be happy. The track record has not been to good lately though.

you make a great point, and despite my anxiety, I really think that's what it comes down to. If this will be our flagship megapixel phone, it has to be SICK. period. Look at the 6000. GREAT PHONE. It rolled out picture messaging and was an outstanding product. But it's because we fully got behind it. If motorola gives us something that we can't get completely behind, it ain't gonna come out yet. Let me know how the text works, I'll have to check it out if we can get it back up and running (it won't do ANYTHING right now, and we are out of town for business). I think this is a type of temporary "LAST STAND" for motorola. If this thing bombs, with all the buildup, I can't see us highly promoting a phone from them in the near future. And...

Nothing but LG6000's, Sam 670's and the old reliable v60's (Now that the antenna isssue is fixed) for my customers right now. I am holding my breath for this one. People love Moto though, so I don't know if it will be a last gasp even if it bombs. I'll jump on tomorrow and let you know if I was able to get ahold of it.

Just used the 710 for the first time Broncosrh. The text input looks the same as always. The person who had it said the Aud 9900 pictures are coming out clearer, but that is just on the phone display itself. I will be curious to see what they look like side by side when downloaded. The phone itself was cool though and I am still on the wagon! As I said yesterday, the user said a few calls seemed to be missed at first but all seems good now. I'm chalking it up to user error.

That's good to hear. I really hope it comes out soon. I am in desperate need of a new handset and I had originally passed on the test model a month or so ago.
