"The V710 has been given final approval from Verizon. The software version is 1.30.8E. An actual release date is determined by Verizon, but the phone is shipping. There will be a 90 day exclusive period for Verizon in the US. Other carriers that will have the phone will be US Cellular, Cellstar, Radio Shack, Vivo (non US carrier), and one more US carrier I can't remember.
Be sure to check PhoneScoop.com daily as that forum has a small army of teens who have nothing better to do than call every Verizon store and report every single detail their uninformed staff provide. I feel that PhoneScoop is one of the better forums out there. I like HoFo and Phonescoop, but Wireless Advisor has always pissed me off a little.

I pretty much agree. THIS particular forum has had it's share of bad moments, but overall the forums in general are more than tolerable.
I've found various UK-based forums on phones, gizmos and PDAs to be very good and RARELY do they go bad with imbecillic posting.

I find WirelessAdvisor users (atleast regulars) to be stuffy and uninteresting posters. They are the people who are so obsessed that you can't even make a joke about the phone or anything for that matter. Why do you think Verizon Wireless and Radi o Shack are sneding their customers to phonescoop. com for their answers? Because its informative, but also light and fun. For solid answers, we just look to HoFo 🙂 .
