Motorola V710
For What It's Worth - Info. From Telesales
In what will probably be a wasted effort I thought that I would post some information about the V710's release to try to get the forum back on track. This is a V710 forum, right? Anyway, I just called Telesales (1-800-2JOININ) and told the salesperson (who was actually quite pleasant) that I was interested in activating VZW service but I need a Bluetooth handset. He immediately stated that one should be available by next week (!). I asked if this was the V710 from Mot that I had heard about. He immediately said yes and mentioned all of the advertising that is currently being run in various print media. I stated that the handset appears to have been delayed several times and asked if this was likely to happen again. He said no, it was ...

Keep in mind that it took me three calls to finally get someone who didn't give me the standard "What's a V710?" reply. Be patient and call more than once if necessary.

I just called Telesales also, they asked them if they had a bluetooth phone, and they said no they don't of course, but then they went on and saying we don't have one coming out in the near future. What a lying idiot. 👿

Hopefully you are referring to the person you spoke to from TeleSales. It took me three calls to get the reply I posted about. The first two were similar to yours. The third rep actually seemed excited about the release of the phone where the others struck me as typical script-jockeys. As has been frequently documented here previously, one can get a wide range of replies from various VZW reps (even those in the same dept.). If you doubt my veracity try calling again...

Have we learned NOTHING from the past weeks/months on this forum???
If you ask a thousand VZW or Motorola reps/techs/salespeople/testers you well get a THOUSAND different answers as to when the phone will be releasd.
It all means nothing.
And it doesn't necessarily mean anyone is lying. They just don't know and/or have been different information.
So chill.

I stand corrected, that post maybe wasn't the best post. But I called back and got an answer that the phone will be out soon and it is a wonder to use.

I bought my D-Link Bluetooth adapter (Mac/PC compatable) So i am ready to rock! Just need to be a first 710 to register for my headset :-D
