... for what it may be worth... i've heard from a reliable source that the phone will not drop soon. It will be pushed back once again.
in addition, he (my source, a representative that has climbed fairly high up the ladder) has recently seen and played with a test phone. when i asked him about his overall impression, he agreed that it is a nice phone ("worth buying"). however, he also noted that its size is slightly larger than your average phone and actually compared it to nextel's 730i... so for those of you that are looking for a lil' tiny phone, this may be news to you.

I have to admit that there are some (very few) creative posters on this board. The majority are bored out of schoolers that have nothing better to do than act like total morons. I try to burst their balloon for my enjoyment and to try to bring a modicum of sense to this discussion. That is why I started my "contest" this week and offered to send a gold painted cow patty to the winner (the most incredible dis-information about the V710) with the "best" post!

I've seen a picture when it was next to an Ipod and v710 was a lot bigger than it. I bet you put 2 ipods together and you get the size of the v710. Its a really big phone, its a brick. There's no way in hell that ima go carrying a phone the same size of a nextel when its not a nextel.02$

I also saw a picture from a guy who was testing the phone and he put it in the back of his pickup and it took up the entire bed! It's huge, I mean, it's ... what do you mean that picture was a joke? Someone doctored it? The IPod one too? The phone isn't that big? Kinda like the size of the VX7000, but even thinner? Really?

If you look at the measurements of this phone on the info tab you will see that it is smaller then the Moto bag phone you are carrying now. But seriously folks it's not all that big. Most of us are using a phone 1 and a half to 2 years old. This phone while larger then some is not going to feel like a brick in your pocket or a extra roll of flab on your belt.
