This is pretty harsh.

I have no association with Level 2, other than the fact that we have exchanged e-mail about the v710.

He originally had a page up, with all his testing info, and answered people's questions quickly and accurately.

He then decided to ask for $1 per person who wanted access to this info. I paid it, happily, as it was, in my opinion, a trivial amount to pay for accurate information about this phone we are all desperate for. As I see it, if he gets $1 from a coup...

I am spending over an hour a day answering legitimate questions. And I will continue to do so. If people don't want to read it, I will take it down and keep it to myself. I already have the phones. 😉

You did answer a couple of my questions earlier via email and I thank you, however paying a dollar for something that I will have in my own hands within a couple of weeks seems a bit much. I am not slamming you for doing it, just don't see the need for me to pay for info that I will soon have anyway. Take care and good luck.

Im sorry but i think this is .... rediculous. Im not telling you what your doing is wrong, Level 2, but i dont plan on paying a dollar for a site.( I think in the essence, you will have money to cover for one of the phones mybe, idk). I just dont think its right...

Anyone who charges money to see info about a freakin phone has got to be greedy! They can say, "OMG i'm gonna show you the super-coolest phone if you pay me!!" They could just be lying, so nobody pay! (unless you gotta see the info for some reason, cuz the phone will be out soon enough! 😁 )

Then again, you can consider the costs that Level2 is incurring to receive email, publish answers on the web with pictures, etc. Webspace on the internet is no longer free. I don't know how Level2 got his hands on the V710, but maybe you should consider the price he paid to get an advanced tester and relay the information to us.

Personally, I havent paid the $1 to read the information. I am waiting until a month after the phone releases to buy one and in between that time, read the opinions of MANY users who have the finalized version of the phone. That is just a personal preference. But I respect Level2's intentions, and I wish some people didnt whine so much. If you disagree with his actions, thats cool: but don't act ignorant that he ...

I think what Level2 should do as it's called a donation is make the page free to the community while allowing people to donate in their free will and not mandatory at whatever amount they want to send. I won't donate money but I can donate internet bandwidth, email and webspace hosting.

Exactly. Pay (even $1) to get someone's opinion of a phone that may or may not be in its final version?? I don't think so. No matter what his opinions are -- I'd still need to try out the phone myself to see if it meets my needs.
