No, I probably have a much bigger pile than you do because I don't piss mine away by OVERPAYING for items. I as an adult have learned that all good things come to those who wait. You on the other hand have spent way too much for your new toy that you will want to replace in a year (or maybe less). Waiting one more week will make no difference to me. What ever you can post about the phone has been posted by others who also paid too much (Level 2 excepted as he can write it off to business expenses). So there 😛

Its a trans-flash currently the largest denomination is 128mb but they also come in 64mb

Do a froogle search for "transflash" -- You'll get LOTS of differnet prices.

i checked yesteday 128 ~$40 and 64 ~$35

mine didn't come with a transflash memory card, I don't think they do, I got one from programmer's pardise for 40 bucks(128mb). You can store music and video on the card, and i guess other files too.

How's the sound quality in comparison to other phones that you've had?

I can say that the sond quality soooo much better then my old samsung was. I am not sure about the battery life yet.

bishop-how did u manage to snag a v710 early? i know you must have shelled out a lot for it, but how did u get your hands on one?

I got it from someone off this site. I don't find it combersome at all, I am starting to wonder about a protective case. My last phone was a PDA phone so this is small for me.

hey, i got the question about the V710. Are you able to connect your V710 to your computer to share files, download ringtones etc via Motorola V710?? If not, is there any other way to do this?

I have another few questions: How is the camera/external screen? And what about the colors of the phone? The link didnt work for me so can you describe if the phone looks good or looks crappy. And on a scale from 1 - 10, what would it rate?

I was able to connect to my powerbook via bluetooth but only for interent access. I can't sync address information.

the external screen in not that great but you can see pictures in it. The camera is excellent. and I would the phone looks like a 10 to me.

you can download ring tones and games and other things right from the phone you don't need a computer.

i just had two questions for the people who got the new phone...
1.) are you able to record your own ringtones (ie you're own personal voice) just like you can on some of the LG phones?

2.) what is the size of the phone compared to the T720??

I asked the same question yesterday regarding the ability to record your own ringtones, but no one responded. I guess no one has any info on that.

the information you wanted about the setting of ring tones, plus other options' specifics, appears to be specifically answered in the post that guides you to the draft copy of the instruction manual.

I was able to connect to my laptop using a D-Link DBT120 and use the laptop as a speakphone, and dial out as a modem.

However, Moto's Phone Tools will just sit there saying 'initalizing'. I did all the upgrades. Phone Tools works fine with the usb cable, so I will continue digging until I figure this mess out.

Do you have phone tools software for your mac?

I don't think phone tools works on Mac. I am going to pick up phone tools and usb adapter to use on my pc, I hope they fix this issue whats the point of Bluetooth, if you can sync your information.

I am also going to keep looking for a Bluetooth solution.

To you, its worth it. I remember once I spent $600 on my bill JUST to talk to my gf. I didn't know how many minutes I went over because I had 1,500. I told my gf that I "wasted" $600 just to talk to her. Not only did she lambaste me about it, but said that to her, its well worth it. Good thing she paid for half 🙂 Anyways, here are my questions:

Yes you can take pictures witht the phone closed. but no video
There is no noise when taking pictures.

How about in terms of taking video with noise?

I believe all the power accesories from the v600 will work. I am using the v600 car adapter, I am thinking about getting the v600 battery.

The Motorola power accessories work for practically 90% of Motorola phones, but the batteries are NOT universal. Motorola does not try to trick you. Motorola accessories have consistent part numbers no matter what phone you selected. If the part number doesn't match it won't work, and the v600 and v710 part numbers do not match. So save your self the time of returning the battery and don't buy it.

I have a SNN5723A that was sold to me for my V60p. I was told by Motorola that they had changed the number to track sales of the extended battery for that phone. They also told me that it is the exact same battery as the SNN5705B. These both work in my V60p and my 270c. There is the possibility that they may do the same with these numbers to again track sales.

Which bluetooth headset are you using?

by chance..does it say anywhere in the manualhow many kbps does it support for mp3 playback?..this was an issue for the kyocera 7135 on mp3's that were recorded above 96 kpbs (the song would skip during playback)..thanks
