Motorola V710
Question from a Very Green Newbee
Currently own the motorola v60i with Verizon. Thinking of getting the v710 (gotta have a camera phone!)
Can anyone tell me if the batteries and chargers from the v60i will work with the v710?

I believe that they both use the same port and the charger would work from a v60. In all seriousness, if your willing to cough up the cash for this phone than why not spend 25 bucks for a new charger?

The batteries from the v60i will not work with v710, however, the chargers (travel and CLA) as well as the USB data cable from the v60 should work.

According to Jabra's website, it will work with Bluetooth phones. Here's a link to the question and answer on the FAQ page on Jabra's web site.

I have just joined this phone scoop after reading various forums for past year +. If you go to Motorola's web page and then goto the V710 part of the site, you will see an accessories link, in that link there is a battery link. According to Motorola the SNN5705 (extended battery for the V60 series) is the extended battery for the V710. You will of course have to buy a new door.

That's actually not correct even though it's listed that way on Motorola's web site. I've posted the following FCC documents before which show the FCC approval for the SAR test of the V710 with "an optional larger battery (model SNN5615A)". Here is the cover letter with that model number.

But some how it looks like it will work. The mix up was the V60 extended battery is the v710s regular battery. the pictures on the moto site match along with the part numbers. I doubt moto screwed up. One less new battery that have to make. Just need to pump up the volume on the old battery. I think moto doesn't like to make new accessories. It's probably easier / cheaper to increase volume on the older accessories. Fine with me because I have several chargers and data cables to use and lend to friends.
