I just joined this forum today after reading things in here for this phone (and others) for over a year now. Some of this is good, other stuff is of course a waste of time. To all who have solid information, THANKS!. You have shown that there are reliable and trustworthy people out there. The rest of you need to GET A LIFE!

According to the Motorola site, under the V710 section, you can look at accessories and there is listed the SNN5705 as being the extended battery for the 710. This is the same as the extended battery for the V60 series.

You're RIGHT! I just looked at the number on my battery for the v60i. It's SNN5705!
...and I agree with your statement...I just joined today as well.

Thanks, mcharron!

Just remember what they say -- With all this manure around here, there's GOT to be a pony somewhere!

SNN5705 is a High Performance battery NOT an Extended Life battery. It is the one being shipped in the V710. I forget the number of the Extended Life Battery that was submitted to the FCC for approval for use with the V710 but that is not it. It has a capacity of 1400 or 1500 mah compared to the 800 mah of the SNN5705. 🙂

I'm going to post this for the 18th time.

The model number for the extended battery is SNN5615A. There is straight from Motorola's documents which they submitted to the FCC for approval for a SAR test done with the "larger capacity battery". First here is the cover letter from the documents Motorola submitted to the FCC containing the model number.

And here is the complete list of documents for the FCC approval.

That is fine, but again I will tell you that I have a SNN5723A, you won't find it on Motos page. They sold it as the "extended or High Capacity" battery for the V60p, according to Moto, it is the exact same battery as the SNN5705. The number was changed to track sales for the 60p. They are doing the same thing for the V710. So the 5615 could, and I only say could, be the same as another battery. Moto is doing this to track sales and see how well accessories sell for certain phones.
