First off, I've been reading some of this forum lately, but have not posted anything. I'm an owener of an authorized retailer of Verizon.

The v710 was approved on monday and I had a product meeting this week. The phone was brought along. The phone is the same size as the vx7000, but a bit heavier. It will come with a 1.2meg camera, flash, zoon, speakerphone, bluetooth and everything else everyone knows about. The only problem is when you talk to a sales rep they might not speak well of it, because of the past. Motorola has not been the top dog of phones for Verizon. Battery life is one things, slow software the other. I played with the headset which is the size of a quarter, folds out. I took some pics and a video with my 7000. I'm looki...

Hello,

This is my first post here on the forums...so please be gentle with any questions I might have 🙂

Since you attended this meeting, did you happen to get any pricing info? I'm only interested in the *full retail* price. You also mentioned about "slow software"...is pertaining to the new v710 or previous models of Motorolas?

I had the VX7000 and returned it. It wasn't that I didn't like it, but I wanted to give the V710 a try. In your opinion, what would be the better choice?

Thanks in advance!

Price for V710

519 retail
-200 activation credit
319 w/o rebate
-70 rebate
249.99 after rebates and 2 year

So basically its 519-70 for retail since your not getting the 200 activation credit for 2 year contract.

That is crazy! I would never pay that for a phone that has blue tooth crippled! I will wait for the vx 8000 then if I have to pay that kind of money. I do not like the way the moto phone book is anyway. 🙄
