The mention last week about a 2 month delay was true and could still happen but the marketing guys have pushed the phone out even with some technical problems. Too much at risk to not launch is what I am hearing.

According to the Ceo at Verizon who was at an employee meeting early last week, he stated the phone was being officially launched. Also someone online posted earlier that they went to a meeting that stated the phones were being shipped to the DCs. So what your saying is these phones would stay at the wharehouse and not be shiped to the Stores till Aug 11th. How come Radioshack Aug 1st Flyer which was posted online has an add for the phone on the front page??

I posted that image. I was not the first page though. I thin more like page 10 (in the middle somewhere). Either way it was a large 1/2 page section dedicated to "RadioShack as BlueTooth!"

Here the Posting that stated the launch date would be sooner. So I guess will see which date its going to be, either way 1 week not going to be the end of the world since we have been waiting a while for the phone.

Finally, an answer! The following is an excerpt from an e-mail I received from our Motorola rep for the main VZW sales office:
We passed phase 4 testing (friendly user trial) and received the approval to launch the V710, three days ago. The phone is being shipped to your DC's as we speak.
