Looks like a valid V710 auction at ebay. It claims it is for pre ordering and will ship week of august 2nd. Price set at $449 buy it now and a quantity of 186 right now. i read this and it seems safe. the one thing that gets me though is they say if you want the $70 rebate, you'll have to go to the verizon wireless store to get it. well if have to go to the store to get it, why not just buy the phone through ...

Because, at Verizon Wireless, the full retail price is (supposedly) going to be $519. For people who seriously know that they want the phone, it would be a savings of $70. ($519-70 = $449 at VZW) ($449-70 = $379 on Ebay). My one suspiction is if the person on ebay has already submitted the rebate with the phone's ESN, meaning the purchaser cannot submit the rebate because the ESN has already been used.
