Can some of you give us an idea of which headset is better? Several other questions: Why is the HS 820 cheaper than the 810 when it has more features and newer technology? Why are there no reviews of the 820? The 810 has many excellent reviews out there, i know thats because it has been out for a while but thye 820 has been out for a little while anyway..Actual user input would be appreciated..
Thank you!

I know people are sick of people asking the same questions over and over again. Believe me i'm tired of reading them. But in this case I've read the question about the difference between the 2 headsets (HS 810 and HS 820) and I don't remember a specific answer to the question. If there was, I'm sorry maybe I didn't look hard enough. But I am interested in the difference between the 2, and really don't feel like searching through all of the bulls*@t posts that don't say anything worthwhile in order to find out the answer. So if someone has the time and doesn't mind could you answer this question real quick for eng50 and I. Thanks in advance!

East..I guess people just want to flame, whatever...I did a search here prior and got no real good info, however when I got flamed I went to Hofo and did a search and got a lot of mixed reviews...you might try that since some here are so lame they cant give us some new info, but the idiot kids can go on and on about stupid things and waste space to make more posts. If you need more info email me and I will repeat my search and link you to it..I do appreciate your support though!!

Yeah i just went to Hofo and found a lot of info on the Headsets as well. I still can't find any real answers on why the 820 is cheaper or which ne is better. It seems as though everyone has their own opinion on which one they like. I can't decide. 😕

After using the HS800, I would guess the flip out boom would cause the increase in price. The boom is the mic and power for the headset. I have seen the HS820, and boy is it small. I don't know how they achieved any battery time.
I would go with the HS 820 if you want to turn it on, and leave it on your ear. I would go with the HS 810 if you want it off more than on. With the HS 800 and I am assuming the HS 810, when you open the boom, it turns on the headset, links (no touching of the phone needed), opens an audio connection, and answers the call. It's kind of cool, but the HS800 only has 2 hours of talk time, but by closing the boom, it closes the connection and link and turns off the headset, so I don't have to recharge more than...

I asked Motorola the same question, they told me if you want to mainly use the headset for the phone only, go with the 820. According to Motorola its a newer version of Bluetooth and will operate faster. 810 works with other applications better. Is Motorola correct? I'm sure the people who have had the opportunity to use the phone either through beta testing or purch the phone will probably know from personal experience.

HS810 has a flip out boom that turns on the headset. Problem is that you need to take it off your ear to extend the boom. The HS820 has no boom. It turns on automatically when a call comes in or you press the button. It has a 5 minute timer that turns it off when no in use.
I would expect both to work flawlessly with the v710 as reported by several people already.
The HS820 is also much smaller. The HS810 comes with a case but the 820 doesn't.

I think Motorola might be mistaken, but again I might be as well...
Wouldn't the benefits of the HS820 be attributed to the fact that is it Bluetooth rev1.2? And does not the v710 ONLY have v1.1, so the compatibility and performance between the HS810 and HS820 would be similar on a 1.1 device like the v710?
I purchase my v710 and along with it an HS810. I then purchased the HS820 two weeks ago and personally saw no difference in (a) call quality and clarity, (b) consistency in reliabile connections...they both worked the same. I considered the lack of boom that can be used to answer the call and also a lack of case the motivation to return the 820 and stick with the 810, however is somehow the 710 BT version is upgradeable I would r...
