If you buy at RadioShack can you service your phone @ Verizon?

Whats the real advantage to buying the v710 at Radio Shack? It appears Radio Shack will be getting the phone sooner, but are the phones at radio shack more expensive? Besides, can you service your phone at a Verizon store if you get your V710 at Radio Shack? Are small Radio Shack stores as willing as Verizon retailers to replace your phone if its not working well?

It's only an adavantage from RS if you want the phone right away and you are in contact still. If you are out of contract, it would be much cheaper to wait for Verizon to get it. As far as repairs go, I have no idea.

What about if you are an AT&T subscriber that wants to switch to Verizon w/ the v710 purchase, can this all be done at RS?

I believe yuo can do that at RS. It's like a new phone purchase, which RS does. I also believe you can transfer your existing number though I'm not positive about that one. Maybe a RS guy knows the answer.

Yes it can. However, I would suggest you wait until it is lunched (officially) to get the discounted price.

Yep, we are so close to the launch now that paying $500 - $600 for the phone is ridiculous!

If someone was willing to pay this now, they should have paid it a month ago on Ebay and got the phone sooner.

I am willing to wait an extra week (hoping this or next Friday) for the release and pay the $249 (w/rebate). I have to buy 2 and cheaper is better!

Those that are paying the $500-600 price are those not eligible for new customer or upgrade pricing. So you pay your 319.99 with $70 rebate and be happy.
