Fort Wayne, IN RadioShack
If anyone in the area wants to come on into the RadioShack in New Haven, I'd be more than happy to Direct2U the v710 for you.

So you're saying you have one in the store? Do you know when other RS's will get them? I called mine (Manteca, CA) today and they said that new hardware "just shows up". They have no idea when it comes in.
Could we do a phone order or I could purchase it from my local RS to you?
...
We don't have it in store yet, but I can Direct2U order it from the warehouse for those that are willing to pay retail.
Then, if they are able to upgrade, I could return it, and resell it, just as previous people have mentioned.
On all orders like that, shipping (if you pay extra shipping) is refunded with a return.
We can't do over the phone orders, but if you're lucky, you'll find someone at your local RS who would be willing to D2U order it for you.

Thanx for the info, genoist. I got mine today. They said should be here Thursday. I'm stoked!
Only thing is I thought it was $320 without the $70 rebate. I was charged $519. The guys at the store said the actual rebate is more then $70. Is that true?
...
519 is the unactivated price. Since it had to be ordered for you, they could not ring it at the activated price. If you are eligible for an upgrade, you can just bring it on back into the store and have then return it, and re-ring it at the activated price. You'll get the 200 bucks back, plus the mail-in rebate will print out on your ticket. Also, as with any returned Direct2U order, any shipping that you paid will be returned to you as well.

Aaaah. Ok, I got it. So just bring it back, get the refund, have them re-ring it and start my account (I'm a newbie on Verizon). Sweet! Thanx.
Like I'm telling everyone, RadioShack rox! (Even if you do have Shaq on your commercials. ;) )
