LED flash as a Light???

Does anyone know if the LED flash can manually be turned on without taking a picture so it could be used as a light also?

yes ive seen that you can turn it on and leave it on only while the photo viewfinder is on

Heck if I just keep my internal screen glowing on my T720 its bright enough for me to get around. And I'm sure the v710 will be just as bright or brighter.
