Hey man first off I just wanna give you props for all the info and updates...second I called my local RS store in Asheville, NC at the Biltmore Square Mall. The guy I spoke to "Tony" said he had 2 in route and should be there to sell on Friday. He thought it was insane for me to be paying $350 for a cell phone but he said he would hold one for me with no obligation. Does this sound legit to ou b/c for me it sounds to good to be true? Also he didnt say anything about that $70 mail in rebate. Do you think that will be available on friday when I pick the phone up? Thanks

That is the sale that will go into affect on friday nationwide to all stores. If he is willing to hold one for you then thats great. That call is made store to store. Its very re-assuring that he has 2 enroute. my system still says 0 in transit. though its not updated till Wednesday afternoon/night.

Yeah I was shocked when he called me back after doing some research and said he had two en route. At first he was going to try and get one from another store by doing a regional search or something.Also, can I get insurance on my phone at RS? Ive only dealt with Verizon corporate stores before and am just making sure that getting this phone through Rs there will be no unexpected changes to the terms of my account and contract!

So, is there any difference between buying the phone at RS vs an actual VZW store? From the stuff on here, I don't think so...but just want to ask.
And one other thing, I know there has been a lot of talk about if you can use NE2 at RS to buy this phone... But, if I buy this phone at RS on a new account, in 2 years, will I be able to use NE2 at a normal VZW store? or any similar discounts?
