Is the sky blue? Why don't you send an email to SanDisk and ask them. They make the thing! 😲

Simply, no one knows, and this forum (though chaotic and full of random BS) is probably not the best place to seek information about the transflash card. Hell, at this point it isn't even the "best" place to get "information" about the v710. o.0

More than likely they will release larger sizes of transflash, but I think 128MB should be plenty to get us started and hold what we want. And if there is a demand I am sure there will be someone there to supply.

I don't think sending an e-mail to Sandisk will get you very far. If you read the thread about the SD adapter - you'll see that I spoke to Level 2 support at Sandisk this morning, who told me that the TF 128 card does not ship with an SD adaper -and even went far enough to say that Sandisk doesn't make an adapter.

This is clearly not the case - as shown by another user who subsequently posted a picture of the SD adapter he received with his TF card - and both had the Sandisk logo on them.

Sandisk clearly has some issues with reliable info coming from their tech support (even Level 2) when it comes to this new TF product.

All of that being said - I will tell you that i did ask about the possibility of larger capacity cards when I wa...

The day I first read about this phone at this website (late April), I found a web page with an original Press Release announcing the Transflash (then known as T-flash). I am nearly certain that it said it would be available up to 128M at first with 256M and 512M cards to be produced later.

There is no question the capacity of Transflash will grow. Since when has any size memory ever been "big enough" after the first day it was introduced.

Additionally - with the announcement that Apple is teaming with Motorola to offer iTunes directly on Motorola phones - I think we'd be silly to not see the push that will ensue for media makers to build larger capacity TF cards to handle the songs, pictures, and other info that people will want to put on their phones.

The only possible stumbling block is that there might not be enough empty space in the Transflash card to fit a total of 1GB of memory. The card is tiny when you see it next to a SD adapter, so the upper limit may be a lot les...

I called 1-866-SAN-DISK to ask, and the lady said Transflash wasn't available in the US. I said Amazon seemed to be shipping some, and she wondered what Amazon was doing with a product not available in the US yet. She had no input on what the maximum planned size for the Transflash product was.

Maybe someone can get Technical Support if they tried...

HYSTERICAL.....

I'm glad I'm not the only one that got jerked around by Sandisk today. What they told you is even funnier than what they told me. At least the guy I spoke to knew what Transflash was -but insisted they don't ship...
