Just like others have said, my guy from radioshack called me and told me they are getting only two in and both are for me since I called up and put my name on a list earlier this week. I will keep everyone informed.

Me too - except I only need one 🙂 But my big fear is that even if they get them in store, they may be prevented from selling them until the official release date in August. Perhaps the system will block it if they try to cash the phone out through their POS. I mean, we all thought we were getting them delivered and that fell through pretty horribly. I fear we are just setting ourselves up to get disappointed again.

The key in not getting disappointed is to expect disaster and the worst. This way you won't be so unhappy when it's just a week's delay 😉
Seriously, the way this whole process has gone has not been shocking, including the possibility that the Shack will get a product out faster than the carrier's retail outlets. Basically, however, everything about this whole process has been haphazardly thrown together and I figure one or two days or weeks here or there is not the end of the world.
If I wasn't already eligible for the newEvery2 thing and was mid-contract, I'd prolly throw my hat into the Radio Shack ring as well. But if RS doesn't come through, not a biggie either way. Everyone who wants one o' these 710's will (sooner or later...
