Memory Card PC Adapter -vs- USB Cable

Since both will go for around $20, which would be a better investment? I assume that with the USB cable you can just shoot data straight from your pc to the phone w/out having to remove the card in the first place.

Opinions?

USB will be the same speed either way, so flexibility to read other cards (camera, etc.) might tilt things in the favor of an adapter.

Some are 8-in-1, but those are more than $20. I got one I believe is SD and xD for free after rebate from OfficeMax a while back. USB 2.0 too, which is nice.

Haven't read: is the V710 USB 1.1 or 2.0?...
