A question about rebates and new every two
I have been reading posts for a while now, and finally registered so I can ask a question.
I just checked out a v710 at the Radio Shack here in Beaverton, Oregon. It looks awesome, I'm definitely glad I have waited to get it. However, I'm going to wait until it comes out in the VZW stores because I have the New Every Two that I can cash in on.
When I was at RS, the guy in the store thought that the $100 for NE2 will not apply on top of the rebate. Anyone out there know if this is true? That would be a bummer, I'd love to get the phone for $150. Thanks for the help.

You'd get both. The new every 2 credit is up to $100, so if a phone such as the LG VX4500 is $109.99 (as it is now), you would get $59.99 off the phone with a renewal & the $50 m.i.b. Because the V710 is so expensive, you will get both.

I had the same issue at RS in MD. I'm waiting until Verizon has it. The cell phone expert even called his VZW rep, and was basically told the same thing. It looks like they cannot honor the NE2.

NE2 can only be handled by a VZW store, that's it. any RS person that says they can does not know what they are talking about.
