I called RS on Tuesday to ask if they were getting any in and they said they were getting a few in and they could take my name and number and call me and hold one. I didn't think to ask whether they did the NE2. I read on here a thread where it said they didn't so I figured I would just wait until 8/11 as I've been waiting for 6 months, what's another 2 weeks!?! The guy ended up calling me and said that he still had it and if I wanted to come pick it up I could. I asked him if they did the NE2 and he said, "Yes, we do them all the time.." I asked if he was sure, and he said that "if VZW did it, they could do it." Fair enough, the wait was almost over. I went to the store (he wasn't working at that time) and they still had it for me. I had the same experience, except I had them give me the final price before hand, so I didn't have your ending. It's sad that they get to sell it to new customers, when 2 year loyal customers of both Moto and VZW cannot buy it at the expected price.

I made the attempt to get the final price before I went through any of it. He even called their VZW rep who told him that only VZW corp does the install $100 but that they could discount the price of the phone to match it. He told me that he would get it to the same price one way or the other...in the end, it was no different then anyone walking in off the street. Too bad, I would love to be playing with a new V710 instead of waiting for VZW customer service to open to get my old v60 working again....
