if so, thats another 30 bucks invested. factor in the bluetooth headset and car charger and that equals big bucks, my friends 😢

Ok I just read this entire thread, in hopes that my question would be answered but it wasn't.
If I do get ahold of mobile tools one way or another, can I just use Bluetooth to transfer the files to my phone or are there other things I need to buy to do this (USB cable, bluetooth adapter, etc)?

at present no one has been able to get bluetooth to work to transfer files.

You can only transfer mp3's via pix messaging which costs you money or the transflash card with adapter and reader.

Buy the USB cable from Ebay. They are very cheap. A generic one is fine.

It would be WAAAAAAAY faster anyway in relation to Bluetooth transfer(if that would even work)

Right now trans flash and the reader is the best bet, both can be had for less than $50.00 ... cheap to avoid GIN and customize your phone the way you want it..IMO

The 25 meg version is not the full version. The real thing is 600 megs.

First, you need to download Overnet from http://www.overnet.com then after that, paste the following into your browser and Overnet will download it.

ed2k://|file|BVRP.Motorola.Mobile.Phone.Tools .2..Multilang..V500.V525.V600.etc.image.Clone .CD.par.Speed59..rar|489123197|1B2E787C30D2F8 06C3FBA19BFFF850AD|/

No, you don't have to install Overnet (Which ain't so hot - there's better P2P stuff out there).

Follow my instructions in this thread:
https://www.phonescoop.com/phones/p_forum.php?fm=m&f ... »

You can just download and install Phonetools. no other software is required.

Well, for ed2k links, it's better to install Overnet or Edonkey or even EMule.

I downloaded a file from LimeWire that is 724 kb that is called mPhoneTools.exe. I havent tried to run it yet as of course it might not be safe. Any opinions? Basically, if I follow gotjazz's thread, first dl the 1.23 version and then the upgrade, it will be free and work?

724kb is too small... My Mobile Phone Tools 2.0 CD when I made a ISO for someone on WirelessAdvisor was 600MB more or less. There has to be something different between the ISO version and the smaller versions people download.

Almighty1 -

Do you have a link available to download that ISO file that you created for someone on WirelessAdvisor?

Thanks in advance!

Not anymore since as I have a 6Mbps/608kbps DSL connection - I was hoping the person would share it with other people but it seems that on Edonkey, there is the ISO available atleast according to motclub.com. I can rebuild the ISO again but at 608kbps upload, it will take a few hours and I guess if someone is willing to host it, then it would be okay.

The version of Mobile Phone Tools that you have is an upgrade version...that's why the error message continues to show.
