Phone tools ??
Is this what we needs to connect to the phone and allow windows to recognize the device ?
I plugged it in to the USB cable and windows needs sofware..

Phone Tools is really only used for syncing as the phone will show up as a Motorola USB Modem. For serious stuff like file transfering and stuff, you need to use the P2K drivers which is needed for PST (Motorola Phone Service Tools) for phone flashing and P2KManager.
