eng50: Phonetools didn't install

eng50: Thanks for posting the file for us! However, I get 2 garbage character display messages (some foreign language character set, I'm guessing) and then the installation terminates.

Someone mentioned that InstallShield is looking for a previously installed version of Phonetools. Did you already have that installed?

I found a source for an earlier non-upgrade English version of Phonetools (Version 1.23c). I tried using eng50's Phonetools upgrade after that, but everything became unreadable for me at that point.

I had to uninstall Phonetools after installing eng50's upgrade. I hope I pressed the right buttons, since I couldn't understand what they said.

Then, I found an English update for Phonetools version 2.21. Everything seems to be working fine, though I don't have my V710 or USB cable yet ...

The one on the top since that one is multi-language and is a ISO of the actual CD that is sold at the stores. The other one is a stripped down version and then you have to download the 2.16 update.

Unless you have a Peer-to-peer client that understands E-Mule links, you'll probably want the second one (Ver 1.23c).

The first one (Multilanguage) puts you into a queue for the CD image and probably will take a lot longer to download.

It's all your choice, of course ...
