😁

Sorry my review wasn't better. Here is what I have on the phone so far:

-Great camera. Better than any other phone camera I've seen before.

-Bluetooth w/ headset is great. Being able to press a button and say "digit dial 5551212" or "Name dial Jim" and have the phone dial it is AWESOME. No voice training necerssary. You can also just say "voicemail" and have it dial *86 for you.

-Good call quality. I HATED my T730 for the fact the signal strength sucked. This phone definitely makes up for it.

-So far, OK battery life. I am a heavy user (on the road all day) so I will be looking for an extended battery regardless.

-Menus are FAST. You hit a button and the phone does it. Total opposite of the painfully S L O W T730.

Can you use the speakerphone with the clamshell closed? Can you close it while a call is in progress without losing the call? Can you make a call using the speakerphone while the clamshell is closed or can you close it once the call is placed and not lose the call? Is there a setting that lets you hang up a call when you close the clam shell or gives you the option using the end key to end a call wvhen if you close the clamshell?

yo I tried it all
but there is no way you could do that
none of that is possible
closing the flip simply ends any incoming or outgoing call
sorry
anyway not a biggie for me

unless you are using the headset, you can close it then.

the speaker phone speaker and mic are inside the shell so if it did work, every thing would be muffled and the feed back would be enormous. But it works very well the way it is.

Next up is to pair it with my iPAQ via bluetooth.

That is my #1 reason for wanting this phone...utilizing the bluetooth to pairup and use it as a cell-modem for my iPAQ and my laptop. (afterall, this is a phone first and foremost. The cameras, MP3s, file transfers, ringtones are all distantly secondary for me).

It's hard to keep up with this board but I've yet to read any yeahs or nays as to success in that particular part of this (using the v710 as a cell-modem for iPAQ/laptop).

As soon as I find my iPAQ, i'll let you know how it works. I am dying to find out myself. Should have it tested by midweek.
