Should I or shouldn't I??

With some of the problems I'm reading about the V710 here, I'm wondering if I should wait to buy it when they fix these problems. I wanted to get it right away so I could take advantage of the special offer by Motorola if you're one of the first 710 to register the phone. I have the first T720 that Verizon released, and saw how much in price it came down as time went, and how they released the T730, which is basically the same phone but with certain problems fixed (I assume). I'm not really concerned about the price, but more if they release an improved version later? So, should I get it or not? (and don't tell me no so you can get the free headset/speaker!!LOL!)

I wouldn't buy a phone just to try and win a contest.

Also think of what your chances or odds are. The phone has been out for a week and there were well over 5,000 phones sold.

And remember by just activating your phone you are registering it so I would think that those 710 accessories are long gone.

Problems? What problems, mine works exactly as promised in all the official Motorola specs. I will be happier yet when the iSync update comes out and I can sync to my MAC. As for now I have plenty of other new features to play with. Great phone with or without a contest.

Two things you can be certain of..

1. The price will come down
2. A revised/enhanced version of the phone will eventually be released that addresses some of the inital concerns/issues.

This is the way it is with ALL consumer electronics hardware after an inital release.

If you need a new phone now get it. If you can wait then wait. Remember, pioneers are the ones with the arrows in their backs! 😉
