September, that's only next month! It won't drop for a while. Maybe, (but probly not) the price will drop when the vx8000 comes out.

No. I will be waiting till the august 11th VZW release date just in case it has updated S/W.

Its actually not that high at all when you consider the technology in it. 3 years ago I paid $400 for a Moto V60 from Verizon. In todays tech world that phone is like a Tandy TRS80 computer, old and done. But back then, that was the phone to have. I recall in the summer of 2001 when Verizon did no have them available directly (only through resellers) they were fetching up to $800 on ebay and in the local shops. Now you can get em for free.

So if you think $250 (after rebate) for a large hi res color LCD, 1.2 mega pix camera, video capture, Bluetooth communications, Speakerphone, etc etc, is too much to pay, then you should wait a few years to get this phone. Even though there will be newer technology in 2007 that can monitor your home and...
