Bluetooth doesn't work
Is it still safe to assume that no one can get the Bluetooth to sync with their computer? I seem to be able to get the adapter to work, but Mobile phone tools 2.21e won't work.

I just talked to hellomotto (not very helpful). They say that if you buy mobile Phone Tools 2.0 from their website with their bluetooth adapter that it will work. Anybody buying that explanation? Can anybody confirm that?

Elec_engineer, do you mean you have Mobile Phone Tools 2.0 syncing outlook with your V710 over bluetooth? Or do you mean that you have Dialup Networking working?

No one will be able to get the MPT to work until the firware update from motorola comes out. Motorola says this is a known problem. Even if you buy the bluetooth adaptor from them it will not work. The USB cable does not work. The problem is in the firmware. Yes the bluetooth works, but that is a seperate issue. There is no problem pairing the device with your computer, there is only a problem gettting it to sync with MPT. The rep told me it would be out between 0 - 60 days. Funny!!!!! 60!!! I expect that the realse with verizon on the 11th will be when the phone will have the latest firmware adn it should be available from verizon stores or maybe a wireless update????

That's gotta be a load...well, sounds like it...I didn't try too hard with BT because I already have the Motorola USB cable, but the MPT 2 I bought for $29 from Motorola's web site wasn't able to use the built-in bluetooth of my Latitude X300 to sync. I'll admit again that I only tried it once, but my laptop *does* see the V710's DUN and voice (handsfree) gateways, so I know the BT is working. I'll mess with it again and report back if I manage to get it going over BT.

did you get it to transfer over the USB cable. I have a motorola usb cable and it does not work!!!
