HELP PLEASE!

HI All,

I bought this phone from Radioshack on friday and so far I love it.. Everything about the phone is great, however I have a wired issue. It looks like if I am not using the phone for a couple of mintues or so the external LCD goes into like a sleep mode where I have no display, but as soon as I hit a button, or receive a call or flip the phone then everything goes ok. I have double checked and have turned off the display time out to Off and basically maxed out anything to do with power related stuff on the menus and I having this issue. I called Moto and they walked me through of a master reset and that did not fix the issue, so they said that I need to take the phone back, but I just know the phone is ok and there must be a settin...

Right now the Display Timeout is set to: Off and I still goes into the sleep mode after no activity. Backlight is set to 50seconds.

What am I missing?

RS can not do s/w upgrades, they can only be done at VZW stores...

AND VZW DOES NOT HAVE SUPPORT FOR THE V710 AND WILL NOT FOR A FEW MONTHS!

They will support it the day that VZW launches the phone. Its not VZW's fault the RS released these phones too early.

I posted a thread about this a few pages ago.

On my phone if your display timeout is set to off, then the screen blacks out as soon as the backlight timer expires.

If you set the display timeout to 1, 2, 5 or 10 minutes, the backlight goes dim after the backlight timer expires, but the screen remains lowly lit.

If you have your screensaver set to come on after the backlight and display timeout, the screen saver will come on, but will only stay on for how ever many seconds the backlight is set for. For example, if you have the backlight set for 50s, the screensaver for 1 minute and the display timeout for 5 minutes, the screen will go completely black after 1 minute 50 seconds.

Is anyone else having this problem? If so, kind of ...
