Motorola V710
MPT//V710/Bluetooth/Radio Shack DOESNT WORK! Moto knows it too!
So now that the v710 is being sold through Verizon's channels, namely Radio Shack, people are calling in for help with Mobile Phone Tools and the v710.
Here is the official word from the Mobile Phone Tools support people at Motorola;
This phone was not supposed to be released because the BT data transfer portion of the phone's operating system is malfunctioning. Motorola KNOWS there is an issue with BT and data and is currently working on a "patch" and will have it by the end of the month. At that time the customer can take their phone to Verizon or a Motorola repair center to have the patch installed.
In the meantime, those who are dissatisfied can return their phone to Radio Shack and the Mobile Phone Tools software for a refund...

Thats ok, it says we can take are phone in and get the patch, so we don't have to re get the phone, i don't have anything thats bluetooh right now so if thats true then i don't care i can wait, and as far as the MPT. i rememeber somebody posting a Motorola e-mail a long time ago sayin that they were not sure if 2.0 would work with the V710 so that doesn't surprise me, i think we have to wait for 3.0 which should be out by the phones release. Either way i love this phone and as soon as i can get the card and MPT i'll customize this phone to the fullest

that is true i agree, but atleast there able to fix it without makin us jus buy a new phone all together, cause i be mad if i found out i had a defective phone and they couldn't fix it.

well at least we wont spend hours at the computer trying to figure out what we are doing wrong, when we aren't at all! enjoy!

hahaha, all you guys that bought it, dont worry a s/w upgrade will fix the problems...lets just hope moto is not the other manufacture that wait for months to realease an update...
