after you run it through the Ringtone Ripper, rename it with a .mid extenstion and E-mail it to yourself.

Now With that Ringtone Ripper site it looks like you have to pay for a month, Verizon isn't even one of the services that it says it supports?

I just use the Ringtone Ripper to convert, I didn't even register or anything, nada, zip!
After a file is converted it's stored on your C drive in the folder where you installed the program.
Locate this folder and make a shortcut to it on your desktop or something, for easier access.
After you located the folder, just move it to where ever you want. Then send it your yourself as an attachment from your e-mail address to (yournumber)@vzwpix.com
The Ringtone Ripper servive isn't needed, just the software.

so I downloaded the ringtone ripper and made a ringtone (thanx for the website info) but I can't rename it to a MIDI file, it's saving as MP3 so when I send it to the phone it doesn't work. I feel like a retard and it's making me angry! 😈 any advice?

"Tools"
"Folder Options"
"View"
and uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types"
Now you'll see the .mp3 extensions.
Right click on the file to rename and just change the extension from .mp3 to .mid

I did "Dip it Low" by Christina Milian, but will probably put some Chevelle, Deftones, A Perfect Circle and other rock stuff on there as well eventually. Thanks again for your help. I did try with 1 other song, but for some reason my phone didn't like the file type even though it was midi.

Great taste! I had some that said it didn't recognize the file type and others that worked fine, I don't know what it is, but the majority of them work.

I think you had the same problem I was having- GTAWAYDRVR said in a previous post that you have to change the file type extension and gave specific instructions that were VERY helpful and I was able to create ringtones very easily and quickly. Please see his previous post
