Another external screen question
I know these have been brought up, but not since people have gotten the phone. Is the external screen good at all? can you change the colors/picture, is the resolution ok? Thanks.

I just held the phone in my hand yesterday at a local RadioShack (I dont have it yet)...and I saw no problems with the external screen. It wasnt as nice as the internal screen, but that was expected. Overall I think the phone looked great, it wasnt too big, and the displays were nice.
I think people were just expecting too much and when they saw the phone, it wasnt exactly how they dreamed it to be.
to answer your question, yes, I believe you can change backgrounds on the external screen...Ive even seen different screens from pictures of actual phones.

The external screen is fine. You can change the background colr by choosing different themes. But you can not choose a picture or your own background. Color is good not great like the internal screen but good enough and for me better than expected.

o yea, what the hell are themes? Is it like this: Depending on the internal screen wallpaper, does it match the colors of the internal with the external. For example, i have a red background with internal, then it would set it to a red background with external? I dont quite get it.

nah son, the external background is dependent on the color you choose from the color style menu.

ok, i see, there is a menu that lets you choose the color style for the external screen. Now, with that said, what types of colors are there?

theres a "moto" color which is like this bright blue, then there's a silver (self explanatory), theres midnight which is this kinda purple color, jade = jade, tangy a kind of reddish color, & solar a bright yellow.

There is an option to personalize your phone. Under that menu you have a "color style" which I refered to as theme. It is the color of the borders on your menu screen. Just like on your computer you have windows theme that changes you recycle bin etc... Well, here you have a choice of: Moto(blue), Silver, Midnight(purple), Jade(green), Tangy(red)or Solar(yellow).
