Like all Verizon Wireless customers/Acura TL owners I have been patiently awaiting the release of this phone. Now that you RSers have the phone lets have a TL/v710 debrief. There have been posting by a couple of people annoucing successful pairs but lets list functionality.....which of the following if any work properly.....

1. Battery Life Indiction
2. Signal Strength Indication
3. Caller ID (with name recognition)
4. Call Transfers (To Phone/To Acura)
5. Phone Book Transfer
6. Phone Call Answers
7. Phone Call Dialing
8. Calls from the Navi (Send Function)

I know it's not a TL, but I have a Chrysler 300C with the UConnect built in. My car doesn't have features: 4 (I don't know...

The TL owner's manual states that some phones don't transfer all data such as battery life, signal strength, etc. Clearly the V710 doesn't send this data, at least not yet. I for one don't care about the fluff. The phone paired perfectly, transfering calls to and from phone works great, answering calls has been perfect, voice recognition of numbers has been better than expected. Overall, it was definately worth the wait.

I've had my nav TL auto since March and bought the v710 last Thursday. I'm impressed with the call clarity using the Acura TL system. To answer your questions:
1. No battery life indication on TL screen.
2. No signal indication on TL screen.
3. Haven't received any calls while in my car yet, so i don't know if this works.
4. Haven't tried this yet.
5. I had to setup a separate phonebook for the TL only which operates by voice recognition. I can't figure out how to dial on the v710 but conversate via TL system.
6. None yet, see response #3.
7. No problems with phone call dialing. I have noticed that the TL voice recognition has problems when the AC fan is going pretty good.
8. Haven't tried this yet.

I have an issue with incoming phone calls. So far only if the cell phone calling is a motorola....the car phone work properly. My son has an LG and my daughter a samsung and neither can call the car and have it ring. The V710 shows a call has been received but no car ring. My cell is a motorola and rings the car fine. Different story with land lines. My home land line does not work, but if i call from the office it works fine. Both have verizon service......Any one else discover this problem and/or solution?????

I purchased this phone last Thursday, and paired it up with my Acura pretty fast. The system is great, and well worth waiting for. I do not have the navigation in my TL (I couldn't wait, they had the 6 speed manual with the high performance tires and Brembo brakes...no navi)

For me the information is displayed in the right instrument panel where the trip computer is located. To answer your questions:

1. Battery Life Indiction (NO- this may be an issue with the phone itself. Other treads on this site discuss file transfer issues with the phone and a possible firmware patch comming soon from Moto)

2. Signal Strength Indication (NO- maybe for the reason above?)

3. Caller ID (with name recognition) YES- the caller ID ...

Go figure....any else have any similar issues

PS..I have paired sucessfully (according to the TL ) 3 times. To no avial

I have been using the system since last Thursday and have not encountered that issue. I receive calls from Motorola phones, LG phones, people on the AT/T and Cingular network, my office, and my home. No one has told me that they can't reach me, and there have been no missed call alerts or messages on my voice mail from calls I missed while in the car.

If my understanding of the system is correct, not sure why that problem would exist. It is your phone receiving the call, not your car. The phone then transfers the call to your car through the bluetooth handsfree connection. If this is correct, then I would think you would have the problem when receiving calls outside your car too. Again, I am no expert so I don't know for sure.
