has anyone used a different usb blue tooth adapter other than the motorola one with phone tools 2.0.
There is a TRENDware TBW-101UB Bluetooth USB Adapter
that is half the price and is supposed to work with all mobile blue tooth phones.

Any help would be apreciated

Huh. AIUI, no one has even used the Motorola BT adapter with MPT 2.0, let alone another brand - but maybe 20 hours a day on these forums just isn't enough to catch all the latest news. 🙂

I've tried MPT 2.0 (purchased from Motorola's web site) over BT with my X300 (built-in bluetooth, I don't remember who makes it), and it doesn't work. There are rumors here (and elsewhere) that a firmware update for the phone may enable this. That said, MPT 2.0 works nicely with a USB cable for now. I won't rail against the phone manufacturers for not including this BASIC syncing functionality with the $%^&* phones...that's a tirade for another day.
