Dismal Mobile Web Performance? (1.0)

Anyone else noticing atrocious mobile web performance with 1.0? (I haven't upgraded yet). The IP on my phone is different from my other phones - in fact this one allows HTTP rather than WAP, which is interesting and cool...but the IP is 66.174.77.60 instead of the more familiar 199.74.153.210. I've tried the old IP and various other settings to no avail. I get hung up on "connecting.." or "sending..." all the time; it's so bad it's pretty much unusable. Given my throughput with #777 over NA-MOU it doesn't appear to be the phone or the network, so I conclude Verizon's proxy server at 66.174.77.60 is the culprit.

Any insights would be awesome...

sorry to come off as ignorant here. i used to surf with a cable and the v60i. i am trying to set up the 710 and a t3 to use verizon's QNC network. I had a web page to do this with palm os 3 but cannot find anything for os 5 and i cannot find an init string to work for the 710. i get sparadic connectivity between the two devices but nothing that works right..

thanks if you can help --
thanks if you can't 🤣

You need to use National Access or your own ISP - no one has posted how to get qnc working with #777 on the V710 yet. But either of the alternatives works fine. I'm assuming it's a matter of init strings; I haven't found them yet and I've tried all the tricks I know of.
