Motorola V710
Get it now at RS or wait till 8/11
Is there any real benefits to getting this phone now at RS or should I wait till Verizon sells it.. I hear that the Verizon store version will have updated firmware and hopefully have some of the bugs fixed.
All of this jabbering leads to my next question: Will the free BT headset promotion start on 8/11 at 12:01am? If this is the case, if I already have the phone from RS, all that I have to do is wait till then and simply open my laptop and register it. If I wait until I get it on 8/11, I will have to be there when the store opens, buy it, race home, and hope that I am one of the first 710 people to have it registered. That seems like a hassle to have a newer version of firmware.

my local store in Hamilton, NJ is saying 8/11. I went over to a Kiosk in Langhorne, PA this evening and they said soon -- they received their rebate books today. The rep. also confirmed that the Woodhaven received their shipment today of V710 Motorola phones, but won't be selling them till the launch date -- but he didn't specify any date...so I am hoping 8/5. I want this phone, not to mention I need it since my T720 is on its last days....

There are not stealing any buisness. VZW does not care abotu handset sales. They car abou monthly recurrring charges. 59.99 and higher plans, family chares, pix messaging, video messaging. Its all about the monthly fee.
800 min plan, pic messaging, text messagin = 68.97 x 24 months = $1655 over two years + any overages. VZW is estatice that RS is moving these phones out the door with new/upgraded accounts. More poeple to use the Multimedia Services
