if i take the card and put it into the SD adapter, can i put the adapter into my photo printer that excepts memory cards and sticks?

You could but these images are at 72 dpi for screen rez. the prints will suck when it tries to print it at 300 dpi.

Why not, as long as it accepts SD cards. With my printer, I can see the files that are on the disk from the computer.

And the printers with memory card readers often make them accessible to read and write from the computer. I donno if thats what you meant, but is often true.
