Western New York area benchmarks with Verizon using v710 &BT vs Sprint and 550 Sierra card.

Sprint config/results:
Sierra Wireless 550 (Max signal Strength)
3rd floor of a 3 story office building that has a sprint repeater on the roof
HP nc6000 laptop
XP pro sp1
Cnet bandwidth benchmarks 331.2 kbps
Actual 20MB FTP File download from linksys.com averaged 12.7KB per second

Keep in mind Sprint uses Bytemobile compression so when using cnet bandwidth checker the readings are distorted. Sprint recompresses images to a lower file size on the fly. The CNET system calculates the time to transmit images to determine bandwidth.

Motorola v710 (4 bars signal) via bluetooth to a linksys USBt100 adapter
Same location
Same laptop
Same OS
Time was 30 minutes after the sprint test
