If ever there were a case for a class action...

OK...

I get the first 710 registering as a qualifier, but how can they state open availability? Not everyone would buy from RS nor would everyone be getting new contracts through the online service. Therefore the promo was not OPEN and violates the "first come first serve" notion if there wasn't a level playing field. In this litigious nation what's one more class action?

There are too many lawsuits in America. I don't understand why people would rather make their money because of a loophole in the rules rather than the traditional way. Like that fat guy who sued McDonalds...

I'm no law expert, but can you explain why "Not everyone would buy from RS" counts as an unequal playing field? A customer's refusal to purchase electronics from RS is not Motorola's fault.

I'm not a big lawsuit fan myself, but Moto really screwed this up big time if they gave an exclusive pre-distribution deal to RS and the only verizon customers open to the deal would be ones that got new contracts. Verizon may have screwed their users out of the deal with a late release, but the RS exclusive means that if there were 2 per store and there are say 1000 RS in the US, MOTO pretty much assured that only RS purchasers could get the promo by opening it up before everyone could get a crack at getting the phone. Heck even the VW people won't have the reg info till the phone is in hand... all the RS people do already.

If the contest was the first 710 from RS to register I wouldn't gripe, nor do I think anyone else would... Howev...

I'm aware that buying from verizon doesn't 100% exclude you as well, however if just half the RS register, contest is over before one VW purchased phone is submitted. An open playing field would have been either no reg till the 11th or no exclusive RS deal.

Radio Shack is not a wireless provider, and thus phones purchased from RS doesn't qualify for the first 710. 😁

Below is the verbage from Moto's web site.
"must a) purchase a Motorola V710 handset from a participating wireless carrier; " I doubt that Moto considers RS to be a participating wireless carrier. Ya, I know RS is a Licensed seller for VZN. Does that mean that RS is considred by Moto to be a wireless carrier. I doubt it.

Your right. If someone falls down and break your leg, a typical american will sue the f*cking sidewalk after watching 12 hours of TV, drinking beer and eating 200000000 McDonalds quarter pounders. I wanna go to Italy and see non-fat people eat awesome, original pizza who play soccer all their lives just to see the huge difference between the american slobs and the italians 😁
