I returned my Motorola V710 today for a full refund at the Radio Shack sine I paid full retail price. I was not charged a restocking fee or any other type of fee.

I told him I was returning it because Verizon Wirless will offer it for $100 (full retail) less and showed him the PDF file that someone posted a while back of the Motorola V710 from Verizon intra-net that I printed out.

The saleperson then called his manager over and they both looked through the papers. The manager then offered to give me $100 worth of accessories, but I declined. He then offered to match Verizon Wireless' price of $419 but I declined and was issued a check.

The bottom line is, that Radio Shack manager was willing to match the $419 full retail price on ...

Here is the deal...the phone retails for $519.00 at Radio-Shack...there is a $200.00 incentive to sign a 2 year contract with VZW so the price of the phone is $319.00 if you sign a new contract (2yr) with VZW. There is then a $70.00 mail in rebate from Moto that would bring your total price to $249.00. However the Verizon retail stores will be selling the phone for a full retail price of $419.00 a full $100 off of the retail price that Radio-Shack is selling the phone. The price of the phone does not change if you are signing a new contract it is still $319.00 (minus the $70.00 rebate from Moto) but if you are reupping your contract and qualify for the New Every 2 you would get an additional $100.00 off of the purchase price of the phone....

$419/Verizon and $519/RadioShack is the retail price if the phone is purchased without a contract.

Understand now?

So you were offered a $100 discount to match Verizons deal, but instead of taking the money and runnin with it, you return the phone and now must wait another week to get it for the same price...

Yeah, that was smart...

Hey Jerkoff,
I don't mind waiting, because unlike you, I have other things going on in my life that are way more important and exciting. I have a phone to use in the meantime.
